I’ve been super busy with the three different organizations I’m an officer with this past week, and that will continue throughout most of the upcoming week.
So, no normal updates this weekend, tomorrow, or Tuesday. I’ll try and have one really big weekend update on local, regional, and state goings on Saturday, March 1st.
We continue to build (or rebuild) our Democratic Party infrastructure here in north Georgia, and you can feel the momentum growing! That Republican town hall that went fubar the other day was in the 7th CD. The meeting was in north Fulton, the most Republican part of that county, and the district also includes parts of Cherokee and Hall, and all of Forsyth, Dawson, and Lumpkin counties.
In other words, the 7th CD is the epitome of Republican gerrymandering, drawn specifically to take advantage of majority Republican north Georgia. This was done just in the past 3 years and is supposed to be a “safe” Republican seat. And Rep McCormick still got his head bitten off over Trump and Musk!
The backlash is growing, even here in north Georgia, and we’re preparing ourselves to be ready to take advantage of it!
More next Saturday!
Watching Rich M being taken totally off guard by the hostility of his constituents was the highlight of my week.
Yes, we are ATTEND YOUR local Democratic Party meeting and bring a friend!
